For over 25 years The Black El Paso Democrats have provided a better response to public needs. Find out why the BEPD is Paso’s Premier Democratic Organization
Some Black El Pasoans who are Republican are interested in establishing a Black Republican Organization here in El Paso. Those few who have shown interest are seeking other Black Republicans in the city who are not ashamed, afraid or apologetic about being partisan to the Republican party.
Though there has been no clear cut assessment on the number of Black Democrats as opposed to Black Republicans in the city, the assumption remains that the majority of El Paso's Black residents are Democrat. The proposed group seeks to disprove that myth and encourage Black El Pasoans to realize its okay to live together in harmony even if you choose to be a Republican.
We spoke with one Northeast resident who says she is proud to be a Republican though her husband is a Democrat. She also stated that the problem with Black America is understanding that regardless of your party affiliation, the fact remains we are still Black and we still have to embrace each other in spite of our differences. You'd be surprised at the overwhelming amount of Black residents who are Republican.
If you are Black and a Republican would be interested in finding out more information about the proposed: El Paso Black Republicans please send an email to: elpasoblackrepublicans@gmail.com and please fill out the form below.
