From: Ruben Esparza
Given the recent newspapertree.com article on Judge Chavez of the 65th district court, does the Black El Paso Democrats organization plan to maintain their endorsement of him?

From: Donald L. Williams (BEPD Chairman)
At our last meeting we voted to maintain our endorsements. In re Chavez, until these allegations are sustained by a court or he is removed by the Judicial Conduct Commission, they are just that, allegations. Judicial experience and  temperament in a crucial area as Family Law, cannot be left to chance by those who raise issues, but are not themselves the answer or solution to the problems raised. We, the BEPD, will react accordingly when the investigations, courts and commissions bring the matter to a conclusion.
