Hello and greetings from our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I was asked to give a brief synopsis on spiritual guidance and direction. It is an honor and a pleasure to provide this information and I want to thank her for trusting in me to provide this information. First of all, the Bible is the best source of spiritual guidance and direction of any kind. Christian doctrine, found in the Gospel of Christ, can answer your questions about spirituality and the meaning of life. The teaching of Jesus can lead you to a fulfilling spiritual life and true hope for eternal life. People everywhere at some point in their lives recognize that they have spiritual needs. They need guidance and direction to find hope for eternity and answers to the questions of life. People alone cannot provide this spiritual guidance. Many learned men do not even attempt to provide answers for the meaning and purpose of life and other serious spiritual questions. If they do try, they cannot prove their answers are right or wrong, and they often contradict one another. Jeremiah 10:23 states: The way of man is not in himself; It is not in man who walks to direct his own steps. You need to find and study a source of spiritual direction and guidance from someone who really knows the answers. [Isaiah 55:8, 9] The Bible claims that it teaches the true answers to these questions. Psalms 119:105 - Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.
John 17:17 - Your word is truth. 2 Timothy 3:16, 17 - All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. The whole purpose of spiritual direction is to penetrate beneath the surface of a person’s life, to get behind the façade of conventional gestures and attitudes which one presents to the world, and to bring out one’s inner spiritual freedom, one’s innermost truth, which is what [Christians] call the likeness of Christ in one’s soul. This is an entirely supernatural (spiritual) thing, for the work of rescuing the inner person from automatism belongs first of all to the Holy Spirit.I reviewed various articles to answer the question on spiritual guidance and direction. I hope my comments do not offend any one. But truly the direction to spiritual guidance and directions comes from the Bible, Gods living bread of life.Karen M. Wilson
